Water Beads on a leaf.
Water Beads on a Leaf, encircled by dead Leaves.
Water Beads on the same leaf, from a different angle.
Plants begin to sprout from the dirt beside a walkway.
Two living flowers are beside a dead flower, slowly waiting for their own demise.
A water Faucet begins to release water.
The same Water faucets water is seen from a new angle and actually is landing on a leaf, something unseen from the last photo.

Alexey Titarenko

Alexey Titarenko was born in 1962, in the town of Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). His body of work ranges from his early work, commentary on the communist regime, “nomenclatura of signs” to his later work “City of Shadows” (pictured above). His use of long exposure creates a spectral, haunted look to the cities he portrays. As an abstract artist myself, i was drawn to the long exposure technique that cultivates these abstracted emotions and ideas.

I adore the creative space that long exposure photos can give us to play with and experiment in. I feel like Titarenko’s work really hits the meat of what can be done in this space, stretching time, emotion, motion, and the relationship of space and time.

Charlie Waite

Charlie Waite is an amazing British landscape photographer. I don’t know much about him but from what I can see from the photo’s he’s really good at what he does. Here is some of what he does. I am very interested in landscape photography I find that kind of photography very beautiful. It really shows how beautiful the world really is when the chaos of humanity is just around the corner. I hope that I can achieve in taking photos as amazing if not better then him.

Sandra Senn

Sandra Senn is a Switzerland photographer. She currently lives and works in Germany. The majority of her work consists of architecture and landscapes. When taking pictures of nature, she typically picks uncontaminated nature that portrays human intervention (i.e. slopes with chair lifts). This is followed by adding and editing the shots that were taken with a medium format. Ultimately, the shots capture the specific moment, that illustrates the intervention between the subject and nature.

David Noton

David Noton is an excellent landscape photographer, taking pictures of magnificent scenery from all around the globe. He was born in England in 1957, moving to America during his youth. Although he received a camera for his 13th birthday, he didn’t fully realize his passion for photography until he had spent several years in the Navy, exploring the world on cargo ships. He graduated in college in 1985 after having studied Editorial & Advertising Photography in Gloucester. Noton began his journey as a freelance photographer, and soon made his way to the top of the photographer’s society. In 2007, he wrote the book Waiting for the Light.

Here’s some gorgeous pictures he has taken:

My First Blog

This is my first ever blog post. I am new to this and I am also new to photography. I do not really have a favorite photographer, so I would have to choose one based on my chosen genre of photography, wildlife and nature. I googled famous North American wildlife photographers and came across a gentlemen by the name of Art Wolf. I found his images inspiring. They are very clear and balanced. Many of his shots are action shots that really give you the time to look at and admire the animals that he has photographed. It is also apparent that Art has spent much time and consideration patiently waiting for an opportunity to photograph these animals. I am a hunter so I can appreciate how difficult it is to locate and get within range of wild animals to capture great images.
